Correct Hot and cold Pack by Miserve is used in a variety of conditions. Hot fomentation increases blood flow, delivers needed oxygen and nutrients, and removes cell wastes. The warmth decreases muscle spasms, relaxes the tense muscles, and increases the range of motion. As with cool packs, hot packs will also help ease pain from both acute and chronic injuries, such as sprains, muscle spasms, whiplash, and arthritis.
- Flexible and durable gel pad which conforms to body contours. Hence the same pack is suitable for use on the neck, back, elbow, knee, thigh and ankle.
- The same pad can be used for both hot fomentation and cold therapy.
- The elastic belt with the hook and loop straps to hold the pack against the body.
- Store the Correct Hot N Cool pack in the freezer so that it is always ready for cool application. For best results, remove it from the freezer and refrigerate the pack for at least 2 hours before use.
- Wrap it with a towel before applying it to the body. In more severe cases of injury, wet the towel before application for greater cold penetration.
- Do not use it directly on the skin straight from the freezer.
- Leave the cool pack on for a maximum of 15-20 minutes at a time. Remove for 20 minutes and repeat the cool application every 1 to 1.5 hours for as long as needed.
A) Hot Water Method
- Boil approximately 4-5 liters of water.
- Remove the water from the heat source.
- Immerse the Correct Hot N Cool pack in the hot water for approximately 10
- Remove the Correct Hot N Cool pack from the water and wrap it with a towel before use.
B) Microwave Method
- Because microwave ovens vary in power, you will need to find /determine the correct heating time for your oven carefully.
- Before placing the pack into the microwave oven, FLATTEN the pack and ensure the gel is evenly distributed.
- If the pack is at room temperature, heat it on “High” for half a minute
